The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a European Community Regulation related to the safe use and identification of chemicals (EU REACH Regulation (EC)1907/2006).

Reach entered into force on June 1, 2007 with the aim of improving the protection of human health and the environment through better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. REACH was aimed at streamlining and improving former European
Union chemical legislation by replacing approximately 40 individual pieces of legislation and harmonizing with the remaining legislation. The new legislative framework under REACH shifts responsibility for the control and safety of chemicals from government authorities to industry and created the European Chemicals Agency to act as a central coordinator.

Express Transformers & Controls (2015) Limited manufactures “articles” and as such is subject to the REACH provisions governing articles. Under these requirements Express Transformers & Controls (2015) Limited is not subject to registering substances and relies on its suppliers to register. All substances required to be registered by our suppliers have been registered or will be registered per the legislation. None of the “articles” or their packaging through normal and foreseeable conditions contain any substance intended to be released.

Express Transformers & Controls (2015) Limited will continue to monitor those items found on the Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC’s) lists and will assess their impact, if any, on our product range.

For informational purposes, Express Transformers & Controls (2015) Limited has contacted its suppliers and verified that those items supplied do not contain SVHC’s and as such can declare that:

Parts supplied do not contain SVHC over the threshold 0.1% weight by weight.
